is at the 70m above the sea in
Myeongpa-ri, Hyeonnae-myeon, Goseong-gun,
Gangwon-do which is at the northernmost
of the East sea. 16km from Mt.
Geumgangsan at the shortest and
25km at the longest, you can see
most of Haegeumgang. Also seen
are Manmulsang(Sajabawi), Hyeonjongam,
Sagongam, Bucheobawi and nearby
islands. If you look at the ridgeline
in the middle, you will find Guseonbong(Naktabong),
last mountain top of Mt. Geumgangsan
Ilmanicheonbong, and Gamho which
has the legend of the fairy and
the woodcutter. You will see Ilchulbong,
Chaehabong, Yukseonbong, Jipseonbong,
Gwaneumbong, etc. Birobong, the
highest mountain top of Mt. Geumgangsan
is only seen on fine days. If
you look at the sea from the jeonmangdae,
Haegeumgang is only 5km away,
and Ilchulbong, Sinseondae, Oknyeobong,
Guseonbong, Jeopseonbong of Mt.
Geumgangsan and Manmulsang of
the sea are right near you. |
